Part 1 – James Connolly
![]()
The life of Irish socialist revolutionary James Connolly (actually born in Scotland to Irish emigrants) as portrayed on the very excellent series Seachtar na Casca by Irish language television station TV4 (T V ceathar). His last words before being executed by the english army to his wife was “Sure, wasn’t it a full life”. He was a marxist, set up the Irish citizen army, fought in the 1916 rising, was shot while strapped to a chair up in Kilmaynhem jail.

“The cause of Ireland is the cause of Labour. The cause of Labour is the cause of Ireland”
Part 2 – Stephen Hawking’s Universe: Seeing Is Believing

“Where do we come from? How did the universe begin? Why is the universe the way it is? How will it end?
“All my life, I have been fascinated by the big questions that face us, and have tried to find scientific answers to them. If, like me, you have looked at the stars, and tried to make sense of what you see, you too have started to wonder what makes the universe exist. The questions are clear, and deceptively simple. But the answers have always seemed well beyond our reach. Until now.”
Brief history of it all summed up in this fine series. Heres part 1 of Stephen Hawking’s Universe: Seeing Is Believing

When you think of the sheer madness and beauty of it all, you just have to laugh and love it.
